Before ..

Before we start we would like you to take a few moments and here are the thoughts on a few subjects that we think might be of interest to you.

We would like you to know the following: our goals are very simple. It is to make you feel good. Really good. So, in order to do that we have to be better than last year. Many people say it will be hard to do it because, the first time is always the first time. We agree and we won't argue with that. But what we will do is try to not repeat some mistakes from the last year that we heard of. So here is the list of complaints from the last year that we summarized and we think of them as relevant for your stay. Now, we are risking bad publicity, but to be honest, we think we are doing this so everybody will have profit and enjoy so we think it is ok!

So, here is the list:

Floor

Although we tried to have the best floor for dancing halls, this was not the case for the 1 hall which had linoleum instead of wood. This will be changed for the 2nd festival.

Even more, we will have more wooden floor on the main city plaza (last year we had some 150m2 wooden floor in the city centre!)

Levels

We had some complaints that advanced level was not so advanced as it should have been. Although this is a nightmare for each festival organizator we will make improvements this year and ask each of our instructors to keep the level of workshops as it is described. Also, we would like to ask each participiant to carefully decide which level it will go to. This is VERY important! Also, each level GIVES A LOT and it will give you EXACTLY what you need for that level. Not less, but also not more. Everyting takes time and salsa learning also! At the end, fun is all that matters, not technique !!

Parties

Beeing the 1st has lots of advantages, but also some drawbacks. Parties didn't last long (except Saturday) and after parties were on a location in Amarin salsa village so some people staying in Rovinj did not come because it was some 3 km away. We are taking measures to have organized transports for people wanting to go to after parties.

Accomodation location

Although Salsa village Amarin is no more than 3 km away from Rovinj, it can be tedious to travel between workshops and parties only relying on regular bus lines. This is why we will be organizing extra bus lines from Salsa village(s) to workshops which will be as synchronized with workshops to best possible extent.
