WOW! Wonderfull and uniqe! Those are the only words we can find to describe our first impressions of the events on the 3rd Croatian Summer Salsa Festival in Rovinj!

I just came back from the lovely Salsafestival Weekend in Rovinj and had to write a feedback to you and all the others of the organization team.

You have done a wonderful job, congratulations! This festival was just so fantastic, all of the Austrian Salseros/as I spoke to, think the same as I do! Now some detailled remarks:

Workshop locations: As we are mostly advanced or intermediate dancers, for us it was just perfect, that we did not have to change the hotel as we had to do last year (thank you so much!) We saved a lot of energy for the classes which we used up last year in running in between Park and Eden. Great, please keep this improvement!!!

Workshops: You made a very good choice of teachers. Most of the workshops we attended were of excellent quality, motivated teachers, good fun, air condition worked out quite well this year. A special bonus were definitely U-Tribe (!!!!!) and Jorge who did great Rueda figures (although I would have preferred a real Rueda de Casino), but also the "old" teachers like Manuel or SuperMario always have something new to teach. Some of us were really disappointed with Israel this year, although he is a a very good and experienced teacher, we think you cannot really use his stuff and it is especially annoying when you ask him before the lesson what he is going to do and in the end he does something completely different and you get the feeling that he is not prepared at all for his lesson. (I wrote in the book which was in the MMC anyway, so I will not go into details here)

And some improvement for the length of the workshops: 3 hours is just too long for the concentration, 2 hours is enough, and I personally enjoyed the 1 hour 20 min classes very much because you can do quite a lot in this time without a break.

The long lunch break was very well thought of, you could relax without looking on your watch all the time (please keep that for next year!)

Evening Parties: Just fantastic!!! The shows outside a big bonus, no interuptions for dancing - like last year when you did this game for more than an hour - (thank you so much!), good mixture of Salsa-music (cuban, LA-Style...) Only the floor in Eden during the welcome party and the floor in the MMC got really sticky after some time (so perhaps next year it will be possible for you to organize some "chalk" (do not know the real englisch name for it), to keep the floor good for dancing.)

Pool party: the highlight of the festival! I should say, I have never seen something similar before!!! Congratulations!!!! I think everybody enjoyed every minute of it! Please keep this for next year!!!! (The only little problem was the frequency of the return boat, perhaps here there could be a better solution....)

Accomodation information on the website: this was definitely better last year, I do not know why Maistra needed so much time for their accomodation offer. This "information coming soon" was on the website just too long. We all got nervous, I booked via internet a private pansion (and was really lucky after not being successful with booking a studio in Amarin), Adnan organized something with Amarin for a big group, but it was not easy at all although he speaks the language.
