Michael started taking classes with Brian Van der Kust, attending International Congresses and festivals en followed classes from the world’s top instructors and performers. His attention was soon drawn to the New York style (Dancing On2) and he began developing his “On2 Skills”.
Performing was the next logical step, first nationally but soon he started dancing and performing internationally on numerous congresses and Festivals. Michael attended classes and trainings in different dance disciplines. He has developed skills in: Salsa, Mambo, Latin Jazz, Jazz-Fusion, African dance, Afro-Cuban, Rumba, Tap Dance and Street Dance….
Because of the wide variety of training he was able to develop his own unique style which has often been described as funky, masculine but also gentle and tender, playful, spontaneous and passionate …
Also, because of his clear, motivating and fun way of teaching Michael has become an instructor who is in great demand. Currently he is teaching for different dance companies throughout the Netherlands and his classes are characterized by his spontaneity, clear explanations and professionalism.
