Yovanny De Jesus Moreta AKA Chiquito is the founder, director and leading dancer of the Dominican Power dance company; the first company merging Latin, reggaeton, hip hop, Afro, Cuban and capoeira in a unique synergy, admired by the public in more than 300 salsa congress from 2007 to today. Chiquito began to dance when he was only five years old, and he had his first professional performance in 1991. Afterwards he got the opportunity to refine his style in New York under the tutoring of "The Mambo King" Eddie Torres.
After relocating to Italy, his dancing path was enriched by 4 victories in a row at Italian national dancing championship from 1999 to 2002 in Cuban and Puerto Rican salsa together with bachata and merengue. In 2004 he starts collaborating with Seo Fernandez, joining Latin Black dancing company. From 2005 to 2006 he recorded two Puerto Rican salsa teaching dvds and worked as a dancer for many world famous singers: Aventura, Victor Manuelle, Choco Ortas, Josè Alberto "El Canario", Oscar D'Leon, Los Van Van, Mercadonegro, Kinito Mendez. In 2007 he created Dominican Power dance company and with this company he performs as a lead dancer all over the world. Fundamental influence in his unique style is the one brought by hip hop: Old Style, New Style, Krump, Dancehall, House.
