In order to make the most of your experience, as a PART OF THE WORLD STAR PROGRAM, we joined hands with one of the leading salsa congresses in the world - Berlin Salsa Congress. When performing in the Stargate shows at the Croatian Summer Salsa Festival, you also have the chance to be elected by the organizer of the Berlin Salsa Congress to perform on the main stage with free passes, free accomodation and free food (for up to max. 6 performers) so you would only need to get there by your own. As one of the leading salsa events in the Europe, we are happy to notice that the interest in salsa has been growing dramatically over the last 5 years. This increase has produced many many great dancers and great performers. But beside professionals there are even more people who are not professional dancers BUT SHARE THE SAME PASSION FOR DANCE. Now, if the mere thought of performing gives you butterflies in your stomach, then WE WANT YOU to showcase your talent. No no no, the other way around. Salsa world NEEDS YOUR EMOTION so SHARE IT WITH US!
So, do not be shy, APPLY FOR THE STARGATE and let us bring you into the spotlight, let us all enjoy what you have to offer.
There aren't any criteria regarding the duration of the show, the number of dancers in the show group or similar. However, the shows that register early, that are short, that are of good quality, that bring a lot of dancers onto the stage, that will surprise the audience and that are well documented (video, pictures in high resolution, biography) will be given more attention.
The best 6-9 shows (depending on the quality) will be pre-selected for the contest on Friday evening (GRANDE FIESTA on the main city plaza!!!) for our Stargate Project
The winning choreography will be invited to perform on the main stage on Saturday Night Gala Party
The jury will be composed of instructors & the public so feel free to bring your friends, family and fans.
Performers in the Stargate project get greatly reduced prices for FULL pass (80 euro) and FREAK pass (110 Eur).
The winners will get a full reimbursement of their festival pass fees.
