Luis Chacón Aspirina (73)
His professional career started in 1958 with Enrique Jorrín (the founder of the Chá-Chá-Chá). During his incredible career he directed different orchestras and worked as a singer, dancer and percussionist. In 1960 he was the youngest founder of the ENA and in 1961 he became the founder of the 'Conjunto Folklorico Nacional' where he is one of the three originators of the three styles of Columbia (Part of Rumba) in Havana.
From 1964 to 1969 he directed the group 'Sikamarie' being part of the popular movement in music at the time. He was the first to integrate the Batá of the Yoruba Culture besides other Afro elements into popular music.
He worked for more than 12 years at the world famous 'Tropicana' as a choreographer and solo dancer. 1994 he became the first teacher of Afro-Cuban dances and music in Italy.
Nowadays he is still competing with the younger generations on the dance floor, teaching the beauty of his culture and as a solo dancer he is still getting invited to many events in Cuba and abroad.

Luis Antonio Chacón Aspirina (50)
He made his first steps in the cultural world together with his father, first with 'Sikamarie', later on with 'Alafia Ire' and in different solistic presentations. This is how he developed his own and unique style of the Columbia.
He worked at the world famous 'Tropicana' as a percussionist and dancer together with his father as well as in productions for the Cuban television.
After three years with the group 'Laye' in the 90's as a dancer and percussionist he joined the recently founded orchestra of Paulo F.G. and is a member of the group for more than 15 years. He played on all recordings and toured the world with the group.

Ismaray Chacón Aspirina (25)
She grew up at her grandparents' place and had a very good insight into her grandfather's and her father's cultural initiatives. After her studies as a dance teacher she joined the female group ‚Obiní Batá’ as a dancer, percussionist and singer when she was 17 years old.
Together with the group she has shared the stage with important protagonists of the Cuban cultural scene such as Chucho Valdes, Tata Guines and Jose Luis Quintana 'Changuito'.
In Havana she worked mainly as a dance partner of her grandfather Luis Chacón besides different solo presentations with distinguished folk groups like 'Rumberos de Cuba' and 'Coro Folklorico Nacional'.

Adonis Panter Calderón (30)
Like the family ASPIRINA, the CALDERONES are also very important protagonists of the Afro-Cuban culture. Adonis Panter Calderón is an exceptional talent respected by the elders and stamping the young generation with his style of playing the congas.
His feeling for rhythm and the concept of his improvisation in playing all kinds of percussion instruments and dancing is extraordinary and fascinating.
As a kid he taught many groups of kids of the quarter Juanelo in Havana where he grew up and he is a founder of the project LA RUMBA NOVA A MORIR which was documented by Attic Independent Production GmbH from 2005 until 2007.
