Prefestival specials take place on Wednesday and Thursday and are comprised of one and a half-hour-blocks with one instructor couple and one topic. They are more intense and detailed then weekend workshops, and they are held on two levels - improver and intermediate/advanced. If you want to attend intemediate/advanced prefestival specials, you will have to pass a placement test.

Festival workshops take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and they have the classic form of one hour workshops you encounter on festivals all around the world. You don't have to take the placement test to attend these, but please keep in mind your dance experience and don't attend workshops which might be too difficult for you. 

Sure! You can buy a pass which encompasses all workshops from Wednesday till Sunday, it's called FREAK PASS. It also includes all parties during CSSF, so this is the one you should take if you want to attend everything during the salsa week.

Full pass my friend! It's all parties during the salsa week (Wednesday - Monday) and workshops only during the weekend. So if you need some time off, but still want to learn a bit, this one is for you.

There is a PREFESTIVAL SPECIAL UPGRADE - it's a pass which includes only prefestival special workshops on Wednesday and Thursday, no parties. You can buy it as an upgrade to your already bought FULL PASS or PARTY PASS.

Unfortunately no. You can either take the prefestival specials on Wednesday and Thursday or weekend workshops (Friday till Sunday), or all of them, of course :)

You can buy a one day pass only for the weekend - meaning Friday pass, Saturday pass or Sunday pass. This one day pass encompasses all the workshops of that day and the evening party. 

Placement test is a tool which will make sure you get the best learning experience possible. If you are an intermediate/advanced dancer, you will be required to go through a test to get your level wristband which will enable you to attend intermediate/advanced workshops. 

If you don't succeed in passing the test, there is still a range of improver workshops, as well a the Afro Cuban and Bachata track of workshops which you can take during these two days.

It's taking place on Wednesday, 26th June, at 14:00h. Place: TBA.

There won't be any other possibility to take the test, so please make sure you come on time.

No, when you pass it on Wednesday, you'll get the level wristband and you will show this level wristband at the entrance of every intermediate/advanced workshop to our staff.

We sincerely advise you not to. Being an advanced Cuban dancer doesn't make you an advanced on2 dancer, so we strongly recommend you to stay in the track you passed the placement test for.

No, you can come alone and find a dance partner there, you will switch partners for a couple of times during the test anyway.

There is no shame in knowing your dance level! If you do not pass to INT/ADV level that just means you can attend:

• IMPROVER workshops (ON1/ON2/Cuban)
• BACHATA WORKSHOPS 
• MOVEMENT TRACK WORKSHOPS (Afro Cuban, etc.) - all level

After mastering IMPROVER workshops you will sure be joining the INT/ADV level next year. Actually, you will even learn more than going to INT/ADV classes since going there does not serve your goal of progress at all.

Then you will not be able to attend INT/ADV workshops, as simple as that :) But you can go to all IMPROVER and ALL/OPEN LEVEL workshops during the prefestival days.

You can always upgrade your pass on the spot, in our festival office.

A downgrade of your pass is unfortunately not possible.

No, after Thursday you can take it off because we won't be checking levels during the weekend workshops this year.

You can buy your pass on our webshop - make sure you pick Croatian Summer Salsa Festival event 2019.

Yes, most of the passes are usually available at the door but we would highly recommend you to buy them earlier! It's cheaper and you'll be sure that you have them because some of the passes or tickets can be sold out...boat tickets for example, or even Paradise Express pass. 

You can pick up your pass in the festival office when you arrive to Rovinj. You will need your e-ticket and some kind of personal document with your photo on it. Pay attention to festival office working hours. 

Tickets and passes will not be shipped. When we get your payment you will receive the confirmation email saying that your registration is complete. After that you will receive your e-ticket.

Yes, we have discounted prices for groups. In order to get group prices there has to be a minimum number of 10 people in the group.

You've bought the pass and for some reason later you've found out that you can't come. The refund is possible but different conditions will apply depending on when you've decided to cancel your pass. 

• all cancellations prior to 1st April will be subject to a 70% fee.
• name changes can be done any time until 1st June
• no refunds for cancellations after noon (12pm) 1st April. Make sure you check our cancellation insurance offer and get 80% of your money back in case of your cancellation.
• boat trips, Experience Croatia events, bus transfers and individual parties are not refundable.

Yes, the pass or the ticket can be transferred to another person or you can postpone it for the next year only until 1st June. When you log into your account on our web-shop at www.salsa-adria.hr you are able to change the name of the person who will use the pass.

• In case of your inability to attend the festival, your festival pass can be transferred to another person or it can be used next year by you
• Postponed passes have to be used the following year, otherwise they become invalid
• Postponed passes cannot be sold to a third party
• Boat trip and Secret Vineyard tickets cannot be transferred to the following year!

It is not allowed to re-sell the transferred passes or tickets!

Yes, you will be able to register and to pick up your passes at the entrance to the party! Please make sure you arrive before 2.30 am, you won't be able to buy or pick up your pass because the festival office in Adris is closed afterwards.

Yes you can buy a one-day pass, but only during the weekend (Friday, Saturday or Sunday). It includes all the workshops and the party on the chosen day and you can buy it only on the spot.

Unfortunately it is not possible to buy a single workshop only. The minimum is one-day pass which includes all workshops for the chosen day.

Please take care of your tickets and passes; the lost ones won't be reimbursed!

It is recommended that each person takes their own pass for themselves. This way we will be sure that you got everything you need! ;) 

Unfortunately in Croatia it is still not possible to pay in euros. If you pay in cash, only HRK is accepted.

There is an ATM in every hotel. You can also find a lot of them all over the city and at the party place (Adris Old Tobacco Factory - to use it you have to ask the security at the entrance). 

There isn't a waiting list for the boat trips. All boat trips tickets are sold online on first come first serve basis. 
There can be cancellations of course, so feel free to stop by at our festival office to check.

The reason for that could be that the email you entered is not valid so please make sure you've put the right email during the account registration on our web-shop. It could have happened also that the confirmation email went to your SPAM folder, so please check that as well.

What is ticket insurance?

• Ticket insurance will enable you to receive 80% of your ticket costs back (excluding the costs of the insurance) in the event that you’re unable to attend the festival for any reason. All participants who don’t pick up their passes till the last party included in their ticket will be marked in the system as if they have used the ticket and the refunds will be possible only in case of bought ticket insurance
• the reimbursement will not apply to any additional costs, such as travel, accommodation or any other costs connected to the festival activities
• ticket insurance is optional, but it has to be bought at the same time as the ticket. You cannot buy the ticket insurance additionally
• in order to gain your refund, send us an e-mail with the confirmation mail or receipt for the bought pass within 15 days after the end of the festival
• the repayment will be done up to max. 30 days after your request has arrived

Ticket insurance price:
Basic fee for the ticket insurance is 6 EUR. For every 100 EUR more total, the fee is additional 6 EUR. E.g. If your ticket costs 180 EUR, the ticket insurance is 12 EUR.
