Bringing authentic Cuban energy, deep roots, and irresistible musicality, Osmel Penton Crespo “Relámpago” and Lisandra García come together on the Rovinj stage with workshops and a show that celebrate everything we love about Cuban dance.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Osmel began his artistic journey at an early age through children’s projects, casino ruedas, and cultural workshops. He later trained professionally in contemporary, Afro-Cuban, classical, traditional ballet, theatre, and music, and performed in prestigious Cuban hotels. In 2014, he joined the folkloric company Raíces Profundas, where he deepened his knowledge of Afro-Cuban and traditional dances such as casino/salsa, rumba, mambo, chachachá, and Cuban peasant dances.
A versatile, energetic, and passionate dancer, Osmel is currently based in Vienna, where he works as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and organiser across Europe.
Lisandra García is a global reference for Cuban dance lovers, with more than 15 years of teaching experience and over 60 million views on her YouTube channel. From salsa and son to rumba, Afro, and timba, her work has inspired dancers worldwide.
